SOUTH SHORE STARS @ RHS; PHOTOGRAPHY

COLOR THEORY: Students explore how colors interact with one another, and how you can make subjects pop based on an understanding of complementary, split complementary, analogous, triadic, and tetradic colors. Class explored photographer Nick Fancher’s color theories and tested said theories with an array of objects (colored paper, vibrant produce, coloring utensils, etc.).

LONG EXPOSURE: Students explore (and thus, more fully understand) how the shutter function of the camera works by experimenting with different shutter speeds, timers, flashlights, and ambient lighting.
